Camping Alpes Dauphiné campsite close to Gap !

At the transition between North and South Alps, the National Park Les Ecrins take up one the highest and vastest mountain range of the Alps (the highest is 4 102m high, more than 150 summits reach between 3000 and 4000 meters high.) 11000ha of glaciers have modeled deep valleys distributed in a star shape. In this unstable territory, the cultural and natural diversity comply with the panorama grandeur. Eagles, Chamois, ibex, marmots, black grouse, partridge, ermines and in total 167 species considered as rare and vulnerable, all that constitute a richness that only the flora diversity can equal.

1800 species (40% of the French flora), 387 of them are rare and have a strong patrimonial value! Alpine sea-holly, lily, the gentian family… or other altitude plants as androsace, saxifrage, catch-fly, genepi, edelweiss, Etc…
